Combustion Analyser for Carbon, Nitrogen & Sulphur
Fitz Scientific has expanded its laboratory capabilities with the installation of a new combustion analyser that measures Carbon, Nitrogen and Sulphur simultaneously. This upgraded system will deliver faster turnaround times for solid, food, bio‑feedstock, grain and fertiliser testing.
Nitrogen analysis, one of the key tests available, is used in the calculation of Protein for Food Nutritional Analysis.
Total Sulphur content is a critical specification in construction materials including aggregates - the new system meets the requirements of the high temperature combustion method specified in these standards and provides a higher degree of accuracy in results.
This technique also provides key data used in biogas and composting processes.
Following full validation and method verification, the system is anticipated to demonstrate Limits of Detection between 0.02 mg/kg and 0.1 mg/kg
This level of performance will allow Fitz Scientific to support customers with even greater confidence in data accuracy, particularly where trace‑level reporting is required.
This investment reflects Fitz Scientific’s ongoing focus on improved efficiency, high‑quality data and expanded testing capacity across environmental, agricultural and industrial sectors.
